Down on the Rio Taff
Cardiff was returned to the lawless days of the Wild West at the Circle’s recent charity event. The evening was enjoyed by over 100 Brothers, ladies and guests. Sheriffs, Marshalls and cow-girls were in abundance dancing the night away to the strains of Pluck and Squeeze (of Gavin & Stacey wedding fame) who also called all the line and set dances. Some fine chow was produced from the chuck wagon (not a baked bean in sight) and the evening raised over £1,100 for the President’s Charities – Cross Roads Care and the Princess Royal Trust for Carers. The winners of the best dressed cowboy/girl were Roy Rogers, Diamond Lil and Pancho Villa (aka Vincent Doyle, Mo Archer [wife of Cardiff President, Chris] and Mike Portelli)
