Hazy MAZY days of Summer
A group of 14 brothers and ladies enjoyed a visit to Symonds Yat on 8 June 2013. The day was enjoyed in bright sunshine and the first stop was a visit to the Butterfly Zoo where amongst the amazing species on view was the Owl butterfly which employs a form of mimicry to protect itself from being eaten. It has a large “eye-spot” to confuse predators when they attack. It was then off to the Maze where everyone manged to find their way out and this was followed by a great lunch in a private room in the Old Court Hotel. After lunch some of the group went off to play crazy golf whilst others went to the garden centre. All agreed that it had been a thoroughly enjoyable day.
