12 Men (and 9 Women) in a Boat
Cardiff President, Mike Halloran, and Linda recently led a group of brothers, ladies and friends on a trip to Symonds Yat in the Wye Valley. A very enjoyable lunch was taken at the Royal Lodge Hotel and this was followed by a 60 minute cruise on the River Wye with on the good ship Wye Pride. Despite the weather being rather dull in the morning, the sun came out (as ordered) to start the voyage.
The Captain of the vessel gave a running or floating commentary throughout the trip providing a great deal of local information on the history of the area, and the wildlife of the river.
On returning to Symonds Yat, some of the group took a walk along the river bank and Wye Valley whilst other less active members retired to the pub but all enjoyed the fine weather and wonderful Autumn woodland scenery.
