Paul Sapwell, Gareth Harris & Paul Kinsey

Plus 3 Equals 50 Plus

For the first time in living memory, and perhaps for the first time ever, the membership of Cardiff Circle went over the 50 mark when three new members were enrolled at the meeting on 18 June 2012. This takes the total enrolments in 2012 to seven and the meeting was attended by another four Visiting Gentlemen.  Cardiff President Mark Johnson welcomed Paul Sapwell, Gareth Harris and Paul Kinsey to the Association and the Circle and extolled the virtues of membership of the Association and Cardiff Circle in particular.  Bro John Worthington, Cardiff’s Provincial Councillor, welcomed the new Brothers on behalf of Province. Bros Paul (x2) and Gareth had previously attended a number of meetings as visiting gentlemen and, with their wives, Circle social events. At the meal following the meeting Brother Paul Sapwell regaled the assembly with tales of his life as an aircraft engineer and in particular of the time he spent in Libya. Brother Gareth Harris is a Financial Advisor and was recruited directly as a result of a family evening put on by the Circle last Autumn at the Techniquest hands-on science centre in Cardiff. Brother Paul Kinsey is a Director in the family firm supplying paints and coatings, is a member of Christ the King Parish and has been known to a large number of Brothers from that Parish for many years. All the new Brothers spoke of the welcome they had received and the friendly atmosphere in the Circle. They also spoke of the Association being a defender of the Catholic faith at a time when the faith is being attacked from all sides.
