Mark Sets a New Mark

At their January meeting, Cardiff President Mark Johnson set a new mark for enrolling new members in a presidential year. In the presence of Provincial President, Michael Rooney, and Provincial Membership Officer, Gervase O’Donovan, Brother Mark installed Keiran Lonergan and Terry Vickery who were the 9th and 10th brothers to join the Circle since last April. Keiran, born in Wales of Irish stock, retired in 2011 having spent his working life with various companies supplying health & safety equipment. A parishioner of Christ the King, Keiran has three children, James, Sean, & Christopher and along with his wife Mary has attended a number of social events whilst a visiting gentlemen. Terry retired from South Wales Police in 1994 with the rank of Chief Inspector. He was a motor cycle instructor and was in charge of one of the regional driving schools in Wales. The highlight of Terry’s career was his responsibility for escorting Pope John Paul II when he visited Wales. Terry attends St John Lloyd where he plays guitar in the church folk group. He has run a number of marathons, including London, and has one daughter, Helen. Again, along with his wife Kath, Terry has attended a number of social functions.
