CARDIFF CALL ON THEIR PRINCE

Cardiff Circle paid a visit in early August to the home of HRH the Prince of Wales at Highgrove nr Tetbury in Wiltshire. Twenty–four Brothers and ladies called on the Prince but unfortunately he wasn’t at home – nevertheless after listening to a welcome from HRH on DVD, the visitors were treated to a guided tour of the gardens. The guide explained that the gardens were very dilapidated when the Prince bought the house nearly 30 years ago and both the gardens and the organic farm have been transformed under his direction. The gardens have been developed in a number of different styles and it gave the gardeners in the party much food for thought. The day was rounded off with a walk around Tetbury visiting the many antique shops and enjoying a meal at one of the many hostelries.
