Destinations Belarus & Holland

Cardiff President Bro Gerry Lynch and a number of other brothers attended Masses in early June at St Teilo’s and St Peter’s parishes in Cardiff to present bursary awards to two young ladies travelling abroad to carry out voluntary work. At St Teilo’s a cheque for £300 was presented to Ella Tumelty, who was off to Belarus in mid-June for 17 days to work with childrens’ cancer care charity, Cardiff-five C’s at a summer camp. Ella is 17 years old and attends Whitchurch High School in Cardiff.

The following week at St Peter’s a presentation of £200 was made to 20 year old Jade King who will be visiting Holland for 2 weeks in July with the Jumbulance Charity which exists to make it possible for severely disabled and unwell adults, children and dependent elderly people to travel on holidays and day outings. Jade is studying Performing Arts at the University of Teeside.
