40 Not Out for Bill
At their August Meeting Cardiff Circle were delighted to celebrate Bro Bill Potter’s 40th anniversary as a member of the Catenian Association. Bro Bill joined the Catenian Association in 1976, whilst in Hastings, subsequently transferring to Hereford Circle, and then Cardiff Circle. He and his wife Brenda currently live in the Bay area of Cardiff. The couple were married in 1955 in Birmingham and lived first in Kidderminster and finally, after retirement, settled in Cardiff via Weobley, Herefordshire, Hastings, East Sussex and Leominster, Herefordshire. Bill spent all his working life with “black sticky stuff”, as an engineer in the Road Surfacing industry, spending much of his working time in Wales and the West Midlands.
Bro Bill was presented with his 40 Year scroll and miniature by Bro Stephen Lake, Director Province 12, who congratulated him and stressed that one of the main aspects of Catenian life was the fact that long term friendships are established.
