Photography Competition 2019

Cardiff Circle offers all Catholic Junior Schools in the Diocese the opportunity to take part in its annual Photography Competition and submit a photograph demonstrating a Gospel theme. The entries this year have been of such a high standard that the judges decided on two winning entries! The first was from St Patrick’s Junior School in Grangetown, Cardiff and was submitted by Alfie Smith, entitled “Friendship”. The second, from St Joseph’s Junior School, also in Cardiff, was from Libby Chichester with the theme of “Loving God’s Creatures”. They both received Amazon vouchers to the value of £25, presented to them in a school assembly. Second prizes were given to Asin Jojo from St Patrick’s and Billie Mae Avery from St Joseph’s. The winners were presented with their awards at school assemblies by Don Clarey, the Cardiff Circle Youth Liaison Officer. This annual competition is an opportunity for pupil from Years 4 to 6 to demonstrate their skills and the circle is looking forward to even more entries next year.
