15 Brothers and families had a very pleasant evening last Thursday for a performance of Shakespeare’s, The Tempest. The weather was perfect, if somewhat warm (no complaints), and picnics were enjoyed by all before the play began. The company was the Lord Chamberlain’s Men – which was the name of Shakespeare’s troupe of actors – and true to the Shakespearean manner of the time, the cast was all male. The performance was very good as we have come to expect from previous performances by this troupe who, with only seven actors, slip seamlessly between different roles in the play..
