Its 5 in a Row for Cardiff
Cardiff Circle entered the Province 12 Quiz held at the Fugitives RFC Club, Newport on Friday 16 October 2015 and won the trophy for the 5th successive year. It was suspected that Cardiff had become over confident when the President, John Edwards, announced that he had left the trophy at home in his wardrobe! The team decided, therefore, that an appropriate name would be “The Lion, the Witch and the Cup’s in the Wardrobe” much to the consternation of the quiz master who couldn’t fir it on his sheet. The teams members were John Edwards, Peter Sullivan, John Roberts, Mark Johnson Jon Dartnell and Bernard Adshead. The contest was closely fought with no quarter given but in the end it was the team’s superb effort in identifying pictures of pilgrimage sites which carried the day.
