Grand President in Cardiff

Cardiff Circe was delighted to receive Bro Grand President Bob Butler and his wife Kathy to their meeting and dinner on 21 October 2014. The Grand President attended the meeting whilst the Cardiff ladies entertained Kathy after which all joined up for dinner. Cardiff President, Bro Gerry Lynch, welcomed Bro Bob and Kathy to Cardiff whilst extolling some of the virtues of the city. He said that there was a connection between Cardiff and Plymouth in that the Earls of Plymouth had owned large tracts of land on the west side of Cardiff. Bro Gerry then presented Bro Bob with a specially commissioned Welsh love spoon incorporating the Catenian logo in its design. Grand President in his reply outlined his view of what Catenians are, and importantly what they are not, in the 21^st century and encouraged the Circle to get out there and spread the word and identify, with the help of the clergy where possible, potential members in the parishes. The time had passed where Catenians often seemed like some sort of secret society. Bro Bob then had the enjoyable task of presenting a Papal Blessing to Bro Peter Maunder and his wife Marilyn to mark their Golden Wedding anniversary.
