2014 Boules Evening

Cardiff Bouled Over

On 14 August 2014 Cardiff Circle made their third visit to the Monkstone Petanque Club for an evening of Boules. The Catenian guests were welcomed by Mike Jones the club President who said that he was very pleased to see this developing into an annual event. 23 Brothers and ladies participated along with a number of Monkstone club members who helped with some light hearted coaching. Again the matches were arranged between combined teams of Catenians and regular boulers and again nobody was quite sure who had won. After the games refreshments were provided by the Catenian ladies in club house where the bar was also available. Cardiff President, Gerry Lynch thanked Mike Jones and the other members for yet another very enjoyable evening. Mike thanked the Catenians for the donation that they had made to club funds and said how much the club looked forward to next year’s event.
